Juniors and Seniors in the BAOHS will have the opportunity to apply for and participate in academic and paid internships.
What are academic internships?
The Academic Internship Program (AIP) is a program that provides work-based learning opportunities for high school students to have hands-on experiences in areas of academic or career interests prior to college or post- secondary training. The AIP has been in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools for over 30 years.
Internships help students obtain a more realistic view of a career area, make better decisions concerning post-secondary education, gain experience and
make contacts that may help them when applying for college programs or scholarships.
